Free online training and resources for health professionals
working with vulnerable children.
Welcome to learning more about the
important role that health professionals play in protecting vulnerable
children.
The training modules on this portal
were developed for all health professionals working in hospitals, general
practice, primary care and community based health settings in Victoria.
Interactive training modules are
tailored to each of these health settings and are free to access via the log
in:
- Protecting Children: Introductory course on
identifying and responding to child abuse and neglect
- Responding to vulnerability: A guide for general
practitioners
- Responding to vulnerability: A guide for health and
community services providers
By completing the training you will:
- Strengthen your awareness of the signs of
vulnerability for children
- Increase your confidence and knowledge of engaging
with parents about child vulnerability
- Better understand how to respond to suspected child
abuse and your mandatory obligations
- Access additional resources that increase your
knowledge of child abuse and neglect
Please note that the Working with Vulnerable Children
module is currently being updated and is expected to be complete in April 2021.
Users should instead complete Responding to vulnerability: Guide for Health and
Community Providers.
