Children at Risk Learning Portal

Children at Risk Learning Portal

Free online training and resources for health professionals working with vulnerable children.

Welcome to learning more about the important role that health professionals play in protecting vulnerable children.

The three training modules on this portal were developed for all health professionals working in hospitals, general practice, primary care and community-based health settings in Victoria.

All modules are interactive and aim to help learners build skills to identify vulnerable children, respond to suspected abuse or neglect, understand legislated responsibilities, and improve knowledge of the child protection and family services system.

Modules are tailored to different health settings and levels of expertise and are free to access by creating a log in.

Protecting Vulnerable Children: Introductory course on identifying and responding to child abuse and neglect (updated in 2022). This course provides an introduction designed to build health practitioners confidence and skills to identify and respond to child abuse and neglect.
